Day Camp Week 4: Christmasville

Posted by: knoxcamp on: August 22, 2011

Merry Christmas…in July! What a wonderful holiday we got to celebrate in the summer. Everything was decorated so festivally and everyone was in the Christmas mood, except one fellow: Scrooge. He hated everything about Christmas from the decorations and the gift giving to the Christmas carolling and the snow. But he didn’t know the TRUE MEANING of Christmas! So, Knox Camp decided to help him find the true meaning with the assistance of Frosty the Snow(wo)man and Mrs. Clause. In the end, Scrooge found out the TRUE MEANING of Christmas, and he didn’t feel so miserable after all.

What better way to celebrate Christmas than to actually learn about JESUS, starting from when and why He was born, to His teachings throughout His time on earth! What a great way to learn about the TRUE MEANING of Christmas! All the campers enjoyed learning and memorizing the memory verse for the week which was from Luke 2:10-12.

Knox Camps went to the Toronto Zoo to look at all of God’s creations! Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! (and much more.)
